What this book is...

When relationships shift and answers don't come, life doesn't pause - it asks you to keep living.

The storm passes. The tide recedes. What remains is who you are.

After The Tide is a steady and deeply personal reflection on what it means to move forward without closure. Written from lived experience, this book offers quiet strength for parents navigating estrangement, loss, and the space that remains when resolution never arrives.

This is not a book about fixing the past.

It is about standing steady in the present.

Health.

Sovereignty.

Author Tracy Carolina

Hi, I'm Tracy.  I wrote this book after five years of learning how to stand steady when answers did not come. I didn't set out to write about estrangement. I set out to understand what it means to live forward when life doesn't resolve the way you hoped.

I am a mother, and like many parents, I've learned that love does not always guarantee clarity or reconciliation. What remains, however, is the choice to stand steady and

self-respect. That choice  became the foundation of my writing.

I wrote this book from lived experience - from the quiet space that remains after relationships shift and answers don't come.

These days, I value simplicity, meaningful connections, and the kind of peace that doesn't need permission. I believe it is possible to live well even when the answers never come.

If you are navigating your own shifting shoreline, you're not alone.

Thank you for being here.
